This sewing retreat will be a unique opportunity for sewers to be together and share their love of sewing and enjoy an atmosphere of being together. Bring your projects and learn something new. You can choose to attend one or both days. This party will be held at the Altoona Grand Hotel Conference Center 1 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, PA 16601 Phone: 814-946-1631 March 21, 22, 23, 2025.
What’s Included:
One Hands-On Workshops Each Day: Led by experienced instructors with all the suplies provided free for each class. Participation is voluntary and great for all skill levels.
Mystery Quilt (2 Class Series) The design is a fun secret. In each class you will receive step by step instructions on how to make the quilt top from start to finish. The fabric is provided free of charge.
Sewing Space: You'll get your own 8 foot rectangle table and cushion chair. The facility is wheelchair accessible and available 24 hours. You will be allowed to leave your supplies at your table. Please note that you do so at your own risk. The hotel and Motley Muse are not liable for damaged or stolen property. You may reserve tables for your group so you can all sit together. Please let me know the names of the people in your group when you pay for the tickets.
Free Sewing Themed Community Exchange Tables: Give what you can take what you want.
When using your machine an extension cord and a surge protector are required. Make sure to bring your UFOs (Unfinished Projects) along with the sewing supplies you need to complete them. There will be free communal cutting and ironing stations available. Don't worry if you forget something because we'll have vendors on site for you to purchase any additional items and services you may require.
During the retreat there will be a table with a sewing theme puzzle laid out on it. Through team work let's see if we can finish it.
50/50 Raffle, For The Free Toy Box Pantry Non Profit EIN #88-1063619 a non profit dedicated to providing toys and diapers for those in need. There will also be a table where you can donate toys and diapers for the pantry.
Silent Auction - Bid on fabulous items and experiences. Place your bids discreetly, and the highest bidder will take home the sought after treasures.
There is a restaurant and bar on-site in the building.

Massages: Relax with a licensed physical therapist. (If you utilize this service, an additional fee is payable to the therapist upon receiving the service.)
Manicures & Pedicures: Get pampered by a licensed nail technician. (If you utilize this service, an additional fee is payable to the technician upon receiving the service.)

We will then email your confirmation number to you. Please keep the email as proof of purchase for the day of the event. You may receive a full refund if you bought your ticket directly from Motley Muse LLC by check through the mail if you cancel a minimum of 1 week before the event. So that we can offer your space to someone else.

3 PM Fabric Jelly Roll Strip Swap Game (Bring 1 yard cut into 2 1/2 inch strips that are the width of fabric in a flower print) Each person will take home a fabric jelly roll. - AND a Fat Quarter Game (Bring Fat Quarters) The more fat quarters you bring to the game, the better chance you have at winning.
