Open House

October 3, 2025 4pm to 6pm

I'm opening up my garden for a free afternoon of sewing, snacks, and good people — and I'd love for you to come.This is a **free event.** Come hang out, watch, learn, meet people.

I'll also be giving tours of my workshop so you can see where I sew and get a look at some of the things I've made. I'll have handmade items for sale too, with all the money raised going to help support the pantry.

If you want to make something and take it home, I've got two hand sewing projects to choose from:

** Scrunchie** — a great first project if you've never sewn before. Simple, satisfying, and useful.

** Heart Plushie Ornament** — a sweet little keepsake that's fun to make and even better to give.

Kits for either project are $10 each and include everything you need. I'll do a 30 minute demo at the start of the party so you can see how their done step by step, and I'll be there the whole afternoon if you need help. No experience needed. Kits are limited — grab yours by showing up on time so you're guaranteed one. Want your kit for free? Bring items for the front yard community pantry and your kit is on me. It must be new items that are useful. For example we are looking for diapers and educational items for all ages. Please do not bring clothing or food.

Already sew? Bring your machine and your current project. This is an open sew — set up, do your thing, enjoy the company.

Light snacks will be out and you're welcome to bring something to share if you'd like, but please don't feel like you have to.Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Leave with something you made with your own hands.
